Here in Dubai, many companies will offer medical insurance for their employees, but not for their dependants. This can cause issues for those who have young children, particularly newborns, as it is a requirement within the UAE for newborns to have frequent vaccinations which can prove quite costly. This aside, local insurance companies within the UAE will not insure children alone, they require at least one parent to be on the plan as well. However, many international insurers (with which we primarily work), do offer ‘Child Alone’ packages. This means that we are able to offer a range of options in these situations to take the strain off both your mind, and your pocket!
