Hosted by none other than one of the most prodigious basketball talents on earth, Kobe Bryant, it’s sure to be an action packed weekend for all fans of basketball and sport in general. For the first time ever, superstar basketball player Kobe Bryant will be gracing the shores of the UAE for the Kobe Bryant Health and Fitness Expo. In between a promotional tour of the Philippines and the beginning of the NBA training calendar, Bryant will be visiting the United Arab Emirates for two action packed days. With an exciting calendar of activities on offer make sure you’re in Abu Dhabi on September 27th or in Dubai on September 28th for all the action.

Because Kobe Bryant is one of the most prolific basketballers in modern history
There are few other athletes that have achieved as much across their career as Kobe Bryant. Since entering the NBA in 1997 he has been selected to a record-tying 14 straight All-Star games, been awarded four All-Star MVPs, two finals MVPs, a league MVP and taken home five championships. As one of the most accomplished basketball players of our generation, he is a virtual lock for the NBA Hall of Fame, an elite club that only the best of the best can claim membership. This is his first visit to the UAE and, given his busy schedule, it looks unlikely that he’ll be returning soon. Bryant will be running a special one-off training session for youth in Abu Dhabi on 26th September. The lucky kids involved get a chance to participate in a clinic with none other than Kobe Bryant where they can learn basketball tips and improve their skills. You Can Hang with Celebrities
One of the highlights of the weekend is the All Star Celebrity Tournament. In this all star event, Team Black Mamba will take on the Real Madrid Allstars in an action packed battle for supremacy on the court. Coached by Kobe Bryant, Team Black Mamba includes a host of international talent including rapper Soulja Boy, American footballer Kelly Herndon, Kris Fade and other Virgin Radio DJs. Former Spanish basketball player Juan Antonio Corbalán will lead his side, the Real Madrid Allstars in what’s sure to be a tightly contested affair. Tickets are available for this star studded event from 250 AED for upper level seats all the way up to 5000 AED for courtside seats, sure to be an unforgettable experience.
Because EVERYONE loves a good slam dunk
Immediately following the celebrity basketball game, Kobe Bryant will be judging a slam dunk competition consisting of a few of the best dunkers in the region. The best dunks have been voted by Facebook fans and two contestants will duke it out in front of the crowd for the ultimate prize.
